Elk Glade Ranch, Colorado

An exhibition co-curated by Clara Donadoni and Lauren Johnson in a hunter’s cabin atop a mountain in Colorado. Works by Kyler Garrison, Gitte Maria Möller, Fritz Østeb, and Joeri Woudstra were installed within the cabin, dispersed through the surrounding woods, and at a mountaintop overlooking Pikes Peak. The project was presented publicly during the ranch’s annual barn dance, with audiences arriving on horseback, ATVs, and Jeeps to encounter the works in situ. Conceived as a contemporary axis mundi, the exhibition framed the mountain as a sacred site where landscape, ritual, and artistic intervention converge, turning the journey itself into a public curatorial experience.
